Manobal
The Power is
within You.
Manobal is India’s first residential institute giving training for competitive examinations, technology and personality development catering to persons with disabilities, orphans and economically weak students. We also assist our students in higher education and are dedicated to providing accessible and inclusive quality education. All these facilities are provided to the students free of cost
Our Vision
To build an inclusive society of good human beings by providing equal opportunities of education to all.
Our Mission
To provide good quality education for holistic development of 1 lakh persons with disabilities, orphans and economically underprivileged students by creating an ecosystem across India by 2030.
Our Purpose
Many NGO(s) in India work for persons with disabilities, orphans, and economically underprivileged children below the age of 18 years. However, there are hardly any organisations providing better development opportunities in residential, higher education and competitive examinations guidance, to students, above 18. We realised the problems faced by persons with disabilities and orphans are mostly unaddressed. Manobal was initiated as the solution to address these problems. We work on a paradigm shift to a create a new thought that works towards their development.
Persons with Disabilities
Most persons with disabilities are conditioned from a young age to believe that their disability defines them, and all they need is to learn some small vocational skill to survive by themselves in the world. They are told that they can’t have big dreams. Manobal believes that they deserve to have ambitions as well.
Orphans
For orphans, there are very limited options to build their lives once they are 18. They are expected to move out of orphanages or shelter homes to fend for themselves. Due to lack of proper guidance family care such children are vulnerable. We empower them with free residential education and training. Manobal focuses on providing them with a better environment for their smooth and successful integration into mainstream society.
Economically Underprivilieged
These students can be from any castes, religions, place or gender, here they are taken in based on their potential and merit. These children haven’t got the right opportunities in life because they come from backgrounds where their parents are not quite aware of the importance of education. Sometimes they also do not get right exposure to opportunities which takes away their chance to excel in their field of study. Many rural and tribal section girls’ families do not give priority for their higher education. We support students and work for their smooth integration into work opportunities of their choice.

Manobal Stories
Building a resilient community one student at a time
Manobal Student
Being an orphan and completely blind, brought many challenges to me while completing my graduation. But my association with Manobal helped me complete my post graduation and study for competitive exams with much ease. Manobal gave me the insight to shed negativity and look at all the good things happening to me. I am now working as a probationary officer with Union Bank.
Manobal Student
My parents are tribal farmers. At the age of 5, I was diagnosed with polio and was left disabled. With so many difficulties in life, I saw no reason to live. But when I got admission at Deepstambh's Manobal, it changed my approach to life. Currently, I am working as an assistant at Secretriat of Maharashtra. My aim is to defeat my disability and be an officer. I thank Manobal for giving me a new life and also the donors who supported this cause.
Manobal Student
I am 70% physically disabled. In 2017, I was appointed as assistant manager at Canara Bank. I am currently taking training for the UPSC CSE at Manobal. I am confident that I will fulfill my dream with support from Deepstambh’s Manobal.
Manobal Student
I suffered from an electric shock and both my hands had to be amputed. I lost both my parents one after the other. At Manobal, I not only received training but also a lifelong family. After clearing the NET SET I am currently pursuing my PhD in socialwork.
